Alison Laver started working for a firm of solicitors in Clacton in 1999 as a Trainee secretary and thereafter a secretary in Probate and Conveyancing. Four years later, Alison took on a paralegal role at the firm. She is now a qualified Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and holds a Certificate in Elderly Client Practice.
“I joined John Fowlers Solicitors in 2014 and am working towards my Graduate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and will continue towards becoming a Fellow Member.
The legal industry as a whole has become more competitive and commercialised. The time where a family had only one solicitor has long since past. Our friendly and supportive team always act with the interests of our clients at the centre of all we do, ensuring they feel cared for and their opinions valued.
I currently support elderly client matters from the Brightlingsea office and take pride in being able to assist people through cases and issues that can be very difficult.
Being part of a progressive firm that moves with the times is very exciting. I’m proud that we still remain focused on our personal approach to working with clients. The friendly and personal way we work with all our clients is something I admire as it makes our firm different.
When I’m out of the office, I enjoy spending my free time at home with my family and two children. I’ve always been a music fan and enjoy dancing. You might also find me watching a good British drama on TV or taking trips with the family to the cinema.”
