Visaka obtained a Law degree at Leicester University and graduated in 1999. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the London College of Law before working for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a leading law firm in London. There she worked in their corporate department dealing with contract reviews for due diligence and assisted associates and partners in drafting complex agreements.
She returned to Leicester to complete her formal training, qualifying as a solicitor in 2004. She became a Duty Solicitor in 2005 and is also a member of the Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor Scheme.
She is a highly skilled advocate with a wealth of experience in both the Magistrates and Youth Courts. She is committed to criminal defence work. She has a vast amount of knowledge and expertise in cases of a more serious and complex nature and has prepared cases which include murder, fraud, serious sexual offences and international people trafficking.
Visaka enjoys travelling, visiting the theatre, going to rock concerts, playing the piano, painting and kick boxing.
