14th September 2009 - Paula Fowler who has been practice manager at the firm since 2002 has been appointed as Managing Partner.
1st September 2009 -Visaka Chandraratna joins the firms criminal department. Visaka has relocated from Leicester and has been qualified for 5 years.
18th June 2009 - John Fowlers LLP are proud sponsors the Street Cycling Event in Colchester. This is the first event of it's kind in the town and we are sure it will be a complete success.
1st May 2009 - Ian Bradford, a former partner of Jackson and Partners now joins John Fowlers LLP, Ian specialises in personal injury, civil litigation and debt recovery.
27th April 2009 - Rebecca Hempstead joins us to continue the expansion of our domestic conveyancing department.
30th April 2009 - Business Fair - We were the only local firm of Solicitors at the first event of it's kind at Charter Hall. The event was very well attended by both businesses and individuals.
31st Jan 2009 - Sheila Crosby and Wendy Cronshey become Partners within the firm.

We hand deliver the search applications directly to Colchester Borough Council. This means a lower price for the consumer, and the search results should be acceptable to all Lenders and Conveyancers.
Why use John Fowlers rather than a HIP Provider?
We are located centrally (behind the Town Hall), we can deliver the search applications by hand to speed up the process, and we have a dedicated team of professional, polite and friendly staff to assist you.
How would you instruct John Fowlers to prepare a HIP?
Registered land, leasehold or freehold: Please complete the attached instruction form.
Unregistered land: We need the title deeds in addition to the attached instruction form.
The cost:
In the current market a Personal Search result can take the same time as a search submitted directly to the Local Authority but it can also be more expensive, and unacceptable to some Lenders and Conveyancers. Searches submitted directly to the Local Authority are acceptable by Lenders and Conveyancers provided they are not older than 6 months.

If we are instructed in connection with the sale of the Property but the matter proves abortive our charge shall be the greater of the two mentioned above.
Where the property is unregistered or leasehold please add £25 plus VAT.
The above fee assumes that we are also instructed in connection with the sale. If that is not the case there is an additional administration and copying fee of £50 plus VAT.
