Joanne Tappin has successfully met the requirements of the Law Society's Mental Health Accreditation Scheme and is now a member.  The Partners of the firm extend their congratulations to Joanne on this achievement.

Congratulations to Sharon Coomber, the Head of our Mental Health department, who has been successful in her application to become an assessor for applicants wishing to join the Law Society's Mental Health Accreditation Scheme.  The Law Society stated that there had been a huge volume of applicants for the role and that the standard of the applications had been very high.
Joanne Tappin of our Mental Health and Criminal departments qualified as a Solicitor on 16th January 2012, having spent two years as a trainee with the firm.  Joanne is staying with John Fowlers as a Solicitor and the Partners wish her all the very best with her future career in the law.

On 31st October 2011, John Fowlers Property Ltd, a subsidary company owned by the Partners of the firm, Sharon Coomber and Wendy Webb acquired new premises to accommodate the further expansion of the firm.  It is anticipated that the Family Department will move into the new building in early 2012.

On 19th November, Kim Kennedy, Senior Partner of the firm and current President of SNELS hosted the President's Annual Dinner at the Moot Hall in Colchester.  Over 130 people attended the dinner, which was hailed as an enormous success.

John Fowlers LLP has today secured membership to the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme - the mark of excellence for the home buying process.

John Fowlers were delighted to welcome local businesses to the Employment Law Seminar that we held on 16th June. We intend to offer regular seminars to businesses.
