Gemma attended the University of Essex where she undertook an LLB Law Degree in which she achieved a 2:1 classification. Thereafter she attended Anglia Law School at Anglia Ruskin University to undertake her Legal Practice Course (LPC) which she passed with a commendation.
She started as a Legal Assistant at a local firm of solicitors based in Brightlingsea and Clacton and continued to work there whilst undertaking her LPC and Training Contract. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and remained there until 2016 before joining us at John Fowlers.
“People are often nervous when they first meet a Solicitor but I and everyone at John Fowlers are very friendly, approachable and will immediately put you at ease.
I specialise in Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate. I am able to build a great rapport with clients and assist them with various legal matters which are beneficial to them.
For example, clients are often concerned with regard to mental illness, care home fees and Inheritance Tax. Another concern may be if a couple are not married, there are step-families or estranged children. I can advise you of the legal action you could take to protect you and your family.
I am very familiar with the local areas having lived in Clacton on Sea all my life and having previously worked in Brightlingsea. I am happy to make home visits if required.
When I am not working, I love being outdoors with my husband and our children running around the park or beach.”
