Christopher Andrews joined the firm in January 2006 as a trainee Solicitor and qualified in 2008. Christopher attended Essex University where he undertook his LLB Law Degree in which he gained a 2:1 and subsequently stayed at Essex University in order to Undertake a Masters degree (LLM) in European Union Law with Human Rights. Further to that Christopher attended The School of Law at Anglia Ruskin to undertake his Legal Practice Course (LPC) which he passed with a commendation and then secured a training contract in January 2006 with John Fowlers LLP where he has remained.
“My favourite part of my role is being able to represent and secure the rights of those that may well no longer be able to speak for themselves and being able to assist those in need at times of loss of capacity and to be able to make a difference in guiding family members through the legal process at times of difficulty for their loved ones and to be able to make a difference in the day to day lives of those clients and patients that have entrusted me with the management of their affairs. I like to be able to make a difference to those that I am asked to help.
The legal sector has changed dramatically in the last few years with changes to capacity issues and the introduction of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the ever changing legal landscape with alternative business structures and the rise of non qualified legal businesses. However, I feel that there will always be a place for a firm such as John Fowlers LLP, that being a caring and family orientated firm with a can do attitude where both staff are clients matter and we are able to work together for the good of those that trust us with their legal affairs.
The firm is unique as we all know each other and departments work closely with each other, there is a strong sense within departments similar to that within a family and we will always help each other out when needed. We are also heavily involved in the local community and local charities and take part in numerous charity events which over the last 4 years have earned more than £20,000.00 for various charities.
When not in the office or working you will find me with friends and family socialising, enjoying exercise or walks in the country or trying to jet off on holiday to sample new cultures and experiences.”
