John Fowlers Solicitors represented a husband whose wife alleged that he had committed a serious sexual assault against her. Prior to a full investigation, he was remanded on bail for six days. The wife continued to make allegations to the police and social services, and refused to allow the husband to spend time with his child. She sought an order barring him from returning to the family home, even though she was not living there.
How we helped
Shocked by the false allegations, the client came to John Fowlers Solicitors. We organised an initial meeting to allow the client to explain fully his version of events, in a safe and secure environment. Sheila Crosby, our Advanced Family and Children Law specialist worked collaboratively with this client, dedicated to helping him resolve this difficult dispute. After identifying and collating quality documentation surrounding the case, Sheila provided the court and social services with the husband’s version of events. John Fowlers supported the client through several court hearings which resulted in them receiving a fair financial settlement and an order to see his child at weekends and holidays.
